I recently came across a video on which Sir Ken Robinson talked about his new book "The Element" - your probably undiscovered skill that, if you find it and follow it up with passion will change you and for once give you the chance to lead a happy and fulfilling life.Reading through the book I met - and you will, if you buy a copy - a lot of incredibly successful people, who by chance and luck - and with the help of circumspect parents or mentors or devoted teachers - found their Element and build successful careers, where success is defined as fulfilment and the natural passion that develops when you do something that you love.For my taste there are too many examples and I felt a bit overwhelmed in the end. The book is written together with Lou Aronica and as Robinson writes in the introduction he was travelling and Lou stayed home and organized all the in-coming ideas and examples and bound them together into a book that could finally be published.Probably a lot of people - myself included - naturally like the idea that there is a skill among all the things one is interested in that could be turned into something that would enhance your life, give it new or better meaning and direction and make you more successful and happy.The book however is no self-help book and you only learn that the Element exists and that there is no time limit in life and no matter how old you are, you can discover and nurture it.
