Ein absolut beeindruckendes Ende für die Terra Ignota Serie, das mich tief berührt hat. Die Geschichte ist unglaublich fesselnd und die Atmosphäre ist perfekt eingefangen.

Perhaps the stars is the culmination of Ada Palmers Terra Ignota fantasy - camouflaging as science fiction - series about humanity in the 25th century.This is a good book which could have been great if there have been more editing. I think it is too long and the idiosyncratic prose of the series modelled after 18th century works of humanist philosophers becomes at some point just tiring. The character monologues carrying the philosophical ideas have too much room compared with the overall progress of the plot.But of course, many ideas are interesting and inspiring, even if one is not agreeing with them. Also I was invested in the plot wanting to find out what will happen to the dear characters.Personally, I think there is a flow in the main premise of the idea driving the main conflict of the book. Without giving to much away, the drive of seeking - exploration/curiosity is one of the core biologically programmed feelings, which will control and govern human behaviour even if Earth transforms into heaven. Thus, boredom and the wish to explore will push many of us further away into the unknown.
