Ein absolutes Muss für Hobby Historiker, sehr plastisch und nah am Leser geschrieben. Dürfte vielen Menschen nicht bewusst sein, wie weit verbreitet Drogen im Dritten Reich waren.

I really enjoyed reading this book.

nightshift workers, lawyers, students house wives, and especially doctors everyone was getting high.Hitler was popping Chrystal Meth pills everyday, shooting opium and in the end having his nose basted in cocaine tincture.The Blitz Krieg tank commander asked his soldiers to take Chrystal Meth to give him 2 days of fighting without sleeping, they gave him 17days.Most of the respected Pharma companies of today were in the drugs business then. Merck was known for the quality of its cocaine, Bayer sold Heroin as a non addictive alternative to codeine.the German army bought Heroin and cocaine by the tens of Kilos and millions of Chrystal Meth tablets.what the book does not get into is who was bringing in the drugs to Europe? It mentions the cocaine came from Peru, but where did the opium come from, and who was bringing it in?is the reason why many Nazis escaped to South America because their drug contacts in south AMerica who were selling them the drugs offered them a future? Are the ex Nazis the ones that built up the south American drug cartels?superb read.
