Ein fesselndes und sehr gut recherchiertes Buch über die Tragödie der Lusitania, das mich tief in die Geschichte eintauchen lässt. Obwohl es sehr packend ist, sind einige Details im Detail etwas weniger ausgefeilt.
Es ist unglaublich, welche unglückliche Verkettung von Umständen und Entscheidungen zur Versenkung des Schiffs geführt haben.Auch wenn der traurige Ausgang (da hier ja ein tatsächliches Ereignis dokumentiert wird) natürlich unvermeidlich bleibt so habe ich doch die Geschichte fast mit angehaltenem Atem bis zu ihrem Ende verfolgt.Der Autor - Erik Larsen - recherchiert sehr umfangreich und hat auch das Talent die ermittelten Fakten zu packenden Stories zu verarbeiten.
