Ein überraschendes und packendes Buch, das die Atmosphäre der Lockdowns sehr gut einfängt, allerdings finde ich die Handlung an manchen Stellen etwas zu sehr auf die äußeren Umstände fokussiert.
Late in the book, the Decamerone is featured. And of course it was in my mind from the beginning, when you understand what will happen: the tenants of a Manhattan building meet during Covid restrictions on the roof and start to tell each other stories.What makes this book great is that the stories are by 36 different authors, and so they are much more divers than in the decamerone. They are told by humans of different ages, origin, profession. They are very different. Some very realistic , some rather mystical. Over time, the stories get into dangerous territory.I wanted this book to continue. What is good to know - I will be able to re-read it.
