The book contains what I have expected and offers many examples of data structures and tables taken from relevant application domains. The authors demonstrate good overview and present business intelligence from a hollistic perspective. The book provides me with a multitude of examples and is source of inspiration to conceptualize hands-on solutions. What I found a bit weird is the stressing of Kimball method here and there...and that it was Kimball who invented this and that. I think Ralf Kimball needs not to put so much emphasis on all his past merits, let the book and its content speak. Just my view...

Ich gebe eigentlich fast nie Rezessionen ab. Aber hier: da gibt einer dem absoluten Klassiker nur 1 Stern. Shame on you. Das Buch ist exzellent und trotz aller neuen Technologien (In-Memory, Big Data, NoSQL usw) immer noch in vielen Bereichen aktuell. Kaufen!
