Whether you are already a fan of Colleen Hoover, or you belong to the group I mention above, or even if you’ve never thought about reading a NA book, you need to read November 9. You are missing out on so much.Colleen Hoover is the perfect author to start with New Adult. Careful though, there’s not much out there at this level. You’ll be starting from the top, setting very high standards. But really, is there a better way to start something?November 9 made me forget about the time, the day, the train I was sitting in and probably my name if anyone would have asked. This book… ah, this book is perfect:The way every single character fits into the story and is indispensable for everything to evolve. Is perfect. The way is written, jumping from one November 9th to the next one. Is perfect. The way the relationship between Ben and Fallon developed, tortuously beautiful, so fast but so slowly at the same time. Perfect. The way this book will make you laugh. Is perfect.“Don’t stop” I tease in a seductive voice. ” Give me more, Ben. Did you read eBooks or…” I run my finger slowly down his chest.”Hardbacks?”He pulls his hands behind his head and a smug look washes over his face. “Oh, they were hardbacks, all right. And I’m not sure if you’re ready for this, but…I have my own TBR pile. You should read it, Fallon. It’s huge””Benton James Kessler. Just perfect.THE PLOT TWIST. Perfect.I loved this book the moment I started reading it, and I loved Benton the second he came into picture. That’s how I like my books, all right. That’s how it should be every time. Crippling, debilitating, paralyzing love.“I’m in love with her. Like, really in love with her. Crippling, debilitating, paralyzing love.”Beyond any doubt, November 9 is perfect. From the second I fell in love with it, to the moment Colleen grabbed my heart and smashed it against the floor. Because by reading a Colleen Hoover book you know the ride is not going to be easy. But it will be worth it. This is about overcoming insecurities, escaping from love and hiding behind it, the weight of guilt and ultimately, how life goes on whether or not we like it.Nothing you can read here is going to do this book any justice. You’ll have to read it and experience it yourself. Put a Benton James Kessler in your life because, trust me, you will want to after reading November 9.Book review published in [...]
