Mrs Lucinda Riley describes a high society sweetie who spends her time modelling, taking drugs, nerving other people and at last trying to help the addicts. The most interesting part takes place in Africa ( resembling Out of Africa by Karen Blixen) .The real action concerning my fave part (Kenya) starts short before the WW2 and you can find only a weak climax (finding a baby girl in the bush) . It is Africa written by Lucinda, not that Africa of 1920s described beautifully by Karen - I would prefer less pages but more reliable characters and events . The whole novel is artificially constructed upon historic events of such a rang as WW2, Martin Luther King, women rights etc.
