Perfekt!

We followed the method from Hal Leonard Piano Library and Alfred’s Premier Piano for more than half a year by ourselves. When we started lessons, as my daughter (6.5) could already read some of the basics of music notation, we moved to this book.This is a great book to follow with a teacher and, in my opinion, a parent who can read/decipher the basics in music to follow the pieces. Packed with a lot of pieces and progressively challenging aspects. The variety of music is, as mentioned in other reviews, quite interesting and each piece has its own character. The complexity is quite a difference from the popular English methods, hence why a teacher and an able parent is needed.Book contains some theory, but I find it could be improved and not jump so quickly to new concepts without a good introduction and pieces to build up the level. There are great exercises to built up techniques and in preparation for tougher pieces.For a child these pieces are more technically intricate on finger work, melody and a challenge to read, at first, when you have two treble clefs to follow, for example. Once through a couple of challenging pieces the confidence goes up and the child/parent will feel less scared looking at other pieces pointed out by the teacher. It is good to be guided by a teacher who can find pieces that are appropriate to the level of the pupil.Would recommend getting the CDs as they are excellent resources and give a good impression of the melody and rhythm of pieces.We still follow the popular English methods to learn about the music theory and after using this Russian School, the popular English books are much easier, and a child can approach pieces with a lot of confidence in their abilities.

Es ist ein schönes Klavierbuch mit vielen Stücken, ich bin mir sicher, mein Kind wird lange daraus spielen können. Wir haben es als Buch mit 2 CDs gekauft, sodass man sich die Stücke auch anhören kann. Wirklich sehr schön!
