One thing to know about me is that I ADORE every single story that Ali Hazelwood has published so far. I don’t know if it’s the scientific setting, the feminist talk or just the hilarious inner monologue of the heroines that gets me each time because they are so relatable in awkwardness but I AM IN LOVE.Love On The Brain did not disappoint my fangirl self.Was it mostly predictable ? Yes.Did I enjoy every single word on the pages regardless ? Double yes.I devoured this book like I literally devoured all her books so far.Bee is a badass scientist, a true feminist, an hilarious, lovely, awkward cat lady and the biggest Marie Curie fan in the whole world. Because of her, I now have extensive knowledge of Marie Curie’s life which is useless for now but definitely could help if I ever participated in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.Levi is a sweet sweet sweet man. Basically a male version of Bee. Her soulmate. I love him.But wait, it doesn’t stop with our two heroes! There are also the badass goth assistant Rocío and the bubbly, pink ray of sunshine Kaylee, who I adore and would like to read ten more books about them. There’s Reike, again, I want a whole book about her please! And don’t even get me started on Schrödinger and Félicette! Am I shipping cats now ? Maybe ? Ok, yes, I am.It’s hard to write a review without spoilers and I could talk about this book forever so I’ll leave it to that. Just know that I loved it to pieces and that if you like romcoms, this will make you happy.
