Energetic Materials and Techniques - Neuware

Enables reader to develop efficient, powerful, and safe propulsion systems Energetic Materials and Techniques explores cutting-edge developments in the area of energetic materials. I focuses on innovations in the materials themselves, as well as on advances in experimental techniques and computational approaches, such as the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance material properties and performance. It delves into the combustion of micro- and nano-sized metals, which hold promise for improving the efficiency and power of propulsion systems, and covers the sensit ivity of energetic materials and carbon-free energy carriers Environmental and safety concerns, as well as the latest developments in solid and hybrid rocket propulsion, are also covered. At the end of the text, readers will find advanced computational techniques for modeling and simulation in combustion. Written by a team of highly qualified authors with significant experience in the field, Energetic Materials and Techniques addresses many high-interest topics, including the following: * Neural networks role in development of a high-energy materials genome and problems and approaches for estimating the enthalpy of formation of energetic materials* Combustion of silicon as a carbon-free energy carrier and theoretical developments in combustion of aluminum-based reactive materials* Ammonium nitrate-based cocrystals as promising oxidizers for solid rocket propellants and preliminary particle size distribution measurements in a new installation that reduces inherent bias* Surface accumulation layers in metallized solid fuel propulsion and hypergolic propellants based on hydrogen peroxide oxidizer* Accelerated combustion simulations of hydrogen-air flames in the HYLON swirled injector in OpenFOAM Energetic Materials and Techniques serves as an essential up-to-date reference on the subject for both researchers and industry professionals. It is also valuable for funding agencies seeking to support both near- and long-term research projects in high-energy materials and propulsion.
